Verve Communications

We understand the changing national agenda

Editorial & Print Media

The written word remains a powerful beast. Clear simple messages presented with style and impact will always be an important part of your communications toolkit so make sure you get the basics right.

Verve has considerable experience in helping to define your message with copy writers specialising in a host of different sectors and areas - media releases, advertising, script writing, print media, consumer or B2B communications. We’ll give you honest feedback on what we think works and what doesn’t, and come up with clear and easy to understand language. And once defined, if you want your message creatively styled for advertising or print use, then our design studio will come up with solutions that will get noticed and help build your brand profile.

Tower Hamlets “City Life, Country Space” Campaign

City Life, Country Space.

When Tower Hamlets Council identified poor awareness of its green and open spaces, it commissioned Verve to promote greater use through a series of linked walking routes. Our campaign included development of eight routes combining historic interest and natural environments under a new campaign identity, promoted through weekly local print features, web site, competitions, a bus shelter advertising campaign and door drop to 85,000 homes. Increased awareness is being reviewed through residents’ surveys. Promotion is continuing with different language versions and new incentive campaigns to walk all routes.

Camden Magazine Review

Camden magazine cover

Camden Council produced a monthly/bimonthly colour magazine aimed at getting key messages and information out to its residents, but there was one problem… few people were reading it and even fewer had any belief in what they were being told. Verve was asked to review the publication and consider a range of alternative proposals including style, frequency, distribution and format. We also compared the various options with best practice in other local authorities throughout the country. Following Verve’s recommendations, Camden was able to take a fresh approach to their borough magazine.
