We understand customers, citizens and communities

Education

The new emphasis on personalisation and choice in education - coupled with the rapidly changing pressures of society and the economy - is raising the bar of public expectations of our education system.

Key to delivering this transformation is effective leadership of the large, diverse workforce in education, training and children’s services. Local authorities too are changing the way they operate, for example, by playing a key strategic role in the delivery of new programmes such as Building Schools for the Future. These new challenges require new approaches to dialogue ranging from internal communications in colleges, to consulting with local communities about new school provision. Verve consultants have worked across the sector and can help you manage change.

Supporting the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority

Qualifications and Curriculum Authority

The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority faced a major restructure, following the appointment of a new Chief Executive. One of Verve’s directors was engaged to provide technical assessment in recruiting three new senior communications professionals for the authority. This role developed, to assisting with addressing the difficulties that were faced in attracting examiners in a number of key public examination areas and subjects. A highly innovative and complex piece of market research was developed that identified the pinch points and helped enable QCA to overcome the difficulty.

The further education sector is characterised by a climate of constant change, but to what extent is communication recognised as a key element of change management in FE colleges?
