Kate Pierce

Verve director Kate Pierce has worked with Verve since 2005 and has extensive communications experience within the education sector. This includes the delivery of direct press and stakeholder engagement services to support all Royal National Institute for the Blind's specialist schools. As a consultant for the Training and Development Agency for Schools TDA), she provided communications advice and support to numerous schools around the country to promote extended services and the work of their support staff. She was responsible for the press and community engagement elements of a successful bid to set up a free school in Southwark in September 2012. This involved extensive engagement with the local press and developing local community champions to demonstrate a pre-opening demand equivalent to 50 per cent of places. She is the former Head of Communications at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
